First objective marker is on Ralof, so you can follow him into the tower where your hands should be unbound. Thought everything was working until Alduin shows up. Intro scene now plays the background music, additional sound effects, and voices. Mono and Gecko made some progress (xact was already installed). It wouldn't happen on every press of the space bar, but it caused an action to happen more frequently than the WSAD keys for their respective actions. Then I noticed that if I pressed space, my character would jump back, as expected.

Since I can't move five meters without holding W for half an hour, I swung a sword a few times to step forward. Just something I never paid attention to before. I found that quite random.Īlso, I've noticed that different buttons have different lag times, though I think this was always present. The mouse however, works perfectly fine.Īny fellow keyboard players have an idea what could be done?ĮDIT: The keyboard issue is there for every aspect of the game, except one place: The only place where the keyboard works properly is in the text box where you name your character. This input lag is also present at the menu, making navigation through options a nightmare. For example, if I wanted to walk to the left, I'd hold the key down for several seconds, then the character would turn left, barely taking a step in that direction. By this, I mean if I were to hold down a key, it could take ten or more seconds for the press to be registered, and when it does, it is registered as an instantaneous keystroke. There would be an ungodly amount of input lag. One thing that has persisted pre and post DXVK was the issue with my keyboard. Before I was aware of DXVK, I made it as far as the character creation stage, before crashing at the loading screen before the Cemetery of Ash. So anyway, I've been trying to get DS3 to cooperate with Wine for a while now, with varying degrees of success. What kind of a masochist do you have to be to play DS3 with a keyboard? Sadly, my only option. Proton Database - Unofficial database of Proton compatibilityĬrossOver - Third party utility (commercial) WINE App Database - Official WINE application database
